Welcome to the 7 sisters Kitchen, a home and platform for enthusiastic food lovers. We are a team of food enthusiasts who are passionate about the authenticity of the Northeast India experience. Our base office is situated in Shillong, Meghalaya and we have travelled around the states of northeast India in search for Traditional home made recipes, provided by the different tribes situated in the states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya.
We aim to discover and explore the possibilities in the richly diverse collection/ amalgam of cultures and flavours, all the while promoting and nutritious eating. If you get the chance to visit the states of Northeast India, it will not disappoint you. Our site has been designed to share this experience, not only to provide recipes and talk food but also to partake in the history that has shaped and nourished the cultures. With a little help from our local farmers, who keep us updated on the seasonal and regional assortments, we continue learning about the culture, the earth essence, with which we, in turn, wish to familiarise the world.
Our mission is to publicise the Northeast India and share with everyone their lesser well-known recipes.
