A traditional snack item that is very popular with the locals.
Ingredients
- Rice flour - 150g
- Jaggery - 50g
- Baking soda - A pinch
- Oil - 60ml
Directions
- Step 1 Soak rice for 4 hours. Drain it and set aside to dry it
- Step 2 Grind the rice until it is powdered and sift it
- Step 3 Melt jaggery .Pour little water to it .Heat for sometimes and cool it
- Step 4 Add jaggery to the rice flour .Pour 200 ml of water mix well to avoid lumps
- Step 5 Add a pinch of baking soda
- Step 6 Heat oil in a moderate flame for a minute
- Step 7 Portion out 30 g of the mixture in a pot of oil and deep fry till it is richly brown
